Imagine That by Kris

Hello.  Just a quick card.  I am really tired tonight so I am going to post this and just relax with my kindle for the rest of the evening.

I love this image from Imagine That by Kris.  It was a great progressive challenge.

Have a great evening.

Similar but Different

Hello again.  One more quick one.

I knew when I saw this file from SVG Cutting Files that I was going to make a card out of it.  Then I saw this card and I knew I would be making a similar card.  Mine is a little different.  The shape is the main difference.

When my husband saw this card, he asked what is it?  A bug?  I think my son will know what it is right off and I made it for him.  Well for him to give to a friend for her birthday.

I am using it in the following challenges:
   Creative Cutting - Summer
   Crafty Gals - Critters
   Inspiration Destination - Anything Goes
   Penny's - Anything Goes
Cute Card Thursday - Too Cute

This is it for tonight.  I work tomorrow so it will be late afternoon before I get anything posted.  Have a good one.

From The Heart

Hello and Happy Saturday.  I was determined to get some thing done around the house.  I have done ok.  I still have a few things I want to get done.

I took a break and made a card.  I haven't done the From The Heart Progressive challenge in a couple of months so I wanted to work on it.  It is such a cute little bird image.  The branch is suppose to be an apple branch, but it reminded me of magnolias so I colored the flowers beige.

I also used the sketch from From The Heart.  The option was 3 of something and I did that also.  Three colors (blue, green and brown), 3 gems and 3 banners.  I added the birthday sentiment so it would make a good birthday card.

I am using it in the following challenges:
From The Heart - Progressive Mthly
Crafting From The Heart - Anything Goes
Paper Take Weekly - Take your Pick (blue color)
   Marker Pop - Flowers
   Tuesday Throwdown - Anything Goes
Seize The Birthday - Anything Goes
Through The Craft Room Door - Anything Goes

Ok, I am off to do some more things.  I will be back later.

Cut It Up Challenges

Hello and Happy Friday.  Six more school days and I will be out for the summer.  I am so looking forward to some down time.

It is time for another Cut It Up challenge.  This one should be a fun one.  The theme is Father's Day - Must use a tie.

Neither my Dad or husband wear ties (except to church) so a tie isn't normally a embellishment I would put on my Father's Day card.  My Brother-In-Law will be getting this card.  The #1 Dad is a Miss Kate Cuttables' title.  I made it into a card.  Miss Kate Cuttables has some of the best titles and they are great for making into cards.

The challenge at Cut It Up Challenges is being sponsored by May Art Ribbons.  The winner will get to choose 2 spools of ribbon.

I really hope to see you over at Cut It Up.  Have a great day.

Thank You

Hello.  How is everyone today?  Hopefully great.

Last weekend, I attended my nephew's wedding.  It was an extremely relaxing weekend.  The wedding was just beautiful.  I am so happy for the couple.  You could tell they were so happy.  I will always remember the weekend.  During the weekend, I met my nephew's finance's family.  They were just so wonderful.  I wanted to drop a short note to the new 'in-laws'.

I pulled out my Heartfelt Creations' butterfly.  I thought it would make a great card.  I put it on square label card.  I just folded it in half.

I colored the butterfly orange and made the flowers yellow.  This is one of my favorite color combos but I don't use it often because I always have trouble matching papers.  This card was no different.  I must have showed my husband a dozen  papers before I decided on this one.

I stamped an extra butterfly and cut it out so I could 3d it.  I also added some Wink of Stella for some shimmer.  I also added some gems to the bottom corner.

I am going to use this card in the following challenges:
Simon Says Wednesday - Anything Goes
Brown Sugar Challenges - Favorite Combo
ABC Challenges - J is for Jewels
Chocolate Coffee Cards - Thank You
Cupcake Inspiration - Bugs & Butterflies
One Crazy Stamper - Anything Goes
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes

I will chat with you later.

Shadow Box Cards

Hello again.  I just love the shadow box cards.  I am still working on making them look just right, but I like them.  Maybe one of these days, I will make one without thinking I need to change something on it.

This is from the Silhouette Online store.  I wish I had textured the card.  The very last layer needs some thing.  Oh well, it is done now.

I am using it in the following challenges:
   Crafty Gals - Color Inspired
   PINspirational - Butterflies
   Suzy Bee's - Girly
Through The Purple Haze - Anything Goes
Crafty Calendar - Things With Wings

I don't know if I will be back.  Have a good one.

Miss Kate

Hello and Happy Memorial Day to all of you from the USA.

I may make some of you mad with this post, but I hope not.  Several challenges are for Teacher's Gift and I do believe every teacher deserves to be thanked for every thing they do every day.  They are shaping our future.  However, I work in a school and there are a lot of support staff that deserve equal thanks.  So when sending those gifts to school, don't forget the school nurse, the bus drivers, the secretaries, the lunchroom staff, the janitorial staff and the teacher's aides. With that said, these gift boxes will be showing up all over the school, with a thanks for a great year.

The candy bar holder is from the Silhouette store.  There are several different shapes.  I just love them.  It is perfect for a Snickers candy bar.  The bookworm is from Miss Kate.  It goes together so well.  I cut four of them.  I am using two on candy boxes and I am using the other two on Graduation gifts. (I will post it later this week.)

The patterned paper is a digital paper from Happy Heart Studio.  She has some great paper choices and they are inexpensive.

I am using it in the following challenges:
Miss Kate Challenges (Facebook) - Teacher's Gift
Clear It Out - School's Out
   Penny's Challenges - Anything Goes
Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
   Cute Card Thursday - School
Wags N Whiskers - Lots of Layers

Have a great day.

   Craftin Desert Divas - Graduation
   Curtain Call - Totally Tassels
Through The Craft Room Door - Anything Goes
   Crafty Sentiments - Anything Goes

   Inspiration Destination - Anything Goes

Birdbrain Birdie

Hello.  I am back from a short vacation and it was a great one.  My nephew got married and the family spend a few days before just relaxing and enjoying each others company.  When I got back, it took me a few days to get every thing back to normal.  Hopefully, I will get to make some cards tonight.

The first one is using Fishing Birdbrains by From The Heart Stamps.  I thought it would make a great Father's Day card. I kept it simple and just printed it on a white card.

I am using the card in the following challenges:
   Addicted to CAS - Birds
Dream Valley - Things With Wings
   2 Cute Ink - Birds
Scribble N Scrap - Anything Goes
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes
Crafting From the Heart - Anything Goes

I hope to be back later with some thing else.  If not, have a great night.

Cut It Up

Hello and Happy Friday.  I am out of town so my post will probably be short.

It is time for another Cut It Up Challenge.  We have a great one.  I really didn't know what to do with this challenge and my picture doesn't really show it very well.  But it is the best I can do from a hotel room.

The challenge is Use a mist (ex. Perfect pearls mist, glimmer mist, color shine, etc).  I don't do this often, maybe I should.  I decided to use my glimmer mist.  As I said it doesn't show, but there is a nice glimmer on the letters.  The title is from Miss Kate Cuttables.  I knew when I saw it, I was going to make a card to send to my sister.  Her kitchen is in strawberries, so I am always looking for something I can make her.

The sponsor for this challenge is Cute As A Button with a $20 Gift Certificate.

I hope to see you over at the challenge.

Have a great weekend.

Red, White & Blue again

Hello again.  I am enjoying a nice relaxing afternoon.  While I was in my patriotic box looking for paper for the last card, I ran across this image already colored and ready to go on a card, so I thought I would use him real quick.

I decided to use the Tuesday Morning Sketches' sketch.  It was a quick and easy one.  Now to make up the other two or three.  Instead of one color of gems in the top corner, I used a red, white and
blue ones.

I am going to use it in the following challenges:
Tuesday Morning Sketches - Sketch #299
Jo's Scrap Shack - Anything Goes
   Natalie & Amy - Animals
   Crafty Hazelnut's - Anything Goes
   Paper Creator Crafts - Animals
Through The Purple Haze - Anything Goes

Be back later.  I am off to fold some laundry.

Patriotic

Hello and Happy Mother's Day.  I hope all the Moms out there are having a great day.

I am still in a red, white and blue mood.  I will definitely have cards for Memorial Day.  I have been waiting to make a card using the A2 Front Easel card in the Silhouette Online store.  I had this Bugaboo Edward elephant printed so I decided to use it.  I just love this card so I will be making more of them.  When I finish this set, I may make a birthday set.  We will see.

I may add a little glitter to the two little stars.   I also used an eyelet instead of a brad.  I have so many that I haven't used.  So you might see more of them.

Here is a view of the side so you  can see how it folds.

I am going to use it in the following  challenges:
Creative Card Crew - Fancy Folds
Love Rubber Stamps - Anything Goes
Paper Take Weekly - Anything Goes
   Penny's Challenges - Anything Goes
   Inspiration Destination - Anything Goes
Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
   Brown Sugar Challenges - Layers
   Marker Pop - Anything Goes

Have a great day.

Mother's Day

Hello.  This is the card, I was going to post last night.  The phone rang and then I just got busy doing something else and I didn't make it on line again.  Sorry about that.

I love the shadow box cards.  I have several so you will be seeing more of them.  The back piece didn't cut as well as I would have liked it  but I made do.  It may be time for a new blade.    I added the little flower on the bottom corner.

I am using it for the following challenges:
   Di's Digital - Fun/Fancy Folds
Craftin Desert Divas -  Mother's Day
Pile It On - Mother's Day
Tuesday Throwdown - Flowers For Her
Clear It Out - Anything Goes
Fab N Funky - May Flowers
   Fan-Tastic Tuesday - Pastel Colors
   Creative Cutting - Mother's Day

I don't know if I will be back or not.  Have a great evening.

Another White CAS

Me again.  I got a little distracted so it took a little longer than I meant.

Instead of putting this on a white card, I decided to use a blue card, since I was doing a patriotic card.  I have been on a red, white & blue kick lately.  So I guess I will have some cards to send out for Memorial Day and then some just because....

Did you know that Project Life had come out with embossing folders?  I didn't I saw this one just by accident.  They are just the  right size for a 4 X 5 1/4 layer.  Once this was cut out and embossed, I used my star dies and cut out the three stars.  I also used an embossing folder on them.

I am using it in the following challenges:
Suzy Bee's - No Pattern Paper
ABC Challenges - I is for Inspire
Crafting By Design - Anything Goes
3 Girl Jam - Anything Goes
   Crafty Time - Anything Goes

I have one more card so I will be back in a jiffy.

White CAS

Hello.  I do believe Spring is turning into Summer.  The last few days have been beautiful and warm.  I hope it stays this nice through the weekend.  I really want to work on my flowerbed.  Time to get it ready for summer.

The challenge over at CAS Sunday is white card plus one color.  I knew when I saw it I was going to use a texture folder on the white card.  This was one of the first ones I found.  It is a favorite.  I use it on a regular basis.  Once I had the white panel cut and textured.  I added some foam tape to the back and then attached it to the white card.  Afterwards, all that was left was to add some butterflies.  I used my EK Success punch.  Super easy.

I am going to use it in the following challenges:
CAS on Sunday - White Card plus one color
Scribble N Scrap - Anything Goes
2 Cute Ink - Anything Goes
613 Ave Create - Anything Goes
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes
Crafting From The Heart - Anything Goes

I will be back in a little bit with another version of this letter.

Another Quick One

Me again.  Here is another quick one.   I haven't made a patriotic card in a while and I thought I would make a few real quick while I was waiting on my sister.

I saw this on pinterest some time ago and I just knew I would make some of them.

I am using it in the following challenges:
   City Crafters - Case #4
Loves Rubber Stamps - Use 2 dies
Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
Brown Sugar Challenges - Anything Goes
   Artistic Inspirations - Ribbon
Glitter N Sparkle - Anything Goes
Hiding in My Craftroom - Die Cuts

Now my sister is ready and we are going to work on a bigger project and I probably won't have it to show until tomorrow.

Have a great night.

A Quick One

Hello again.  I haven't done anything for May Day in several years so I decided at the last minute to
do something for the ladies at work.

I knew when I saw the lip balm holders that I was going to make them for the morning crew.  I really wanted to do the bunny and chick at Easter but I ran out of time.  So I thought the flowers would be perfect.  I forgot about the butterfly or I would have done half and half.   I am going to make a few more to take to the wedding.  I like leaving surprise here and there and I think my nieces will like these.

For the rest of the group, I made the truffle holders.  Both projects were quick and easy to put together.  And they were a huge success.

Be back later hopefully.

Cat In The Hat

Hello and Happy May.  Wow, I can't believe it is May.  I have been busy the last few days and haven't had time to post anything.  I have a few things to show you.

I made this Cat In The Hat several weeks ago.  I never put it on a card.  I decided to use it today.  The Cat In The Hat is by KaDoodle Bug.  He was so much fun to put together.  She has several more and I will probably be picking some more up.  No one is ever too old to get a Cat In The Hat card.  It is hard to see but I put some of my Winks of Stella on the cupcake to make it shiny.

I am going to use it in the following challenges:
   Clear It Out - Kids
Through The Craft Room Door - Anything Goes
   Wednesday's Inspiration - Cute Critters
Crafty Gals - Stripes and/or Dots
   Inspiration Destination - Anything Goes
Just Add Ink - Sketch #260
Simon Says Wednesday - Anything Goes

Be back in a little while.

Cut It Up Challenges

Hello and happy May Day.  I loved May Day when my son was little.  It was so much fun leaving a little gift for the neighbors and my son's friends.

It is time to start a new challenge over at Cut It Up.  I picked the theme and I must say it was a challenge.  When I picked it 2 or 3 months ago, I had all kinds of ideas.  When I sat down to do it, my mind was blank.

I finally decided on the cute denim pocket from Bugaboo.  Instead of fuss cutting the pocket, I put the image in my Silhouette software and had my machine cut it for me.  It is so much easier that way.  Go over to Bugaboo and search for pocket and there are all different kinds with flowers.

I colored my image with my copics and then added some Wink of Stella shimmer.  The second layer is stamped with a 'thinking of you' stamp from MorningStar.  The stamping isn't completely even but I like it imperfect (like me).  The third layer is just standard size (4 X5 1/4).  A quick card but I like it just the way it is.

The Cut It Up Challenge Theme is Paper Piecing.  It is sponsored by Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons.  They are offering a $15 gift certificate.  It runs May 1st through May 13th.  Lot of time to make a great card.  I really hope to see you over there.

We also have some new design team members.  Make sure to check out their blogs.

Have a great day and I will chat with you after work.
